The Tavern--This is the center of activity at The Inn if not the city of Newtown. It bustles with lunch and dinner every day and the bar is filled early and late. If you are looking for a great place to gather for a cocktail with friends or to have a casual, reasonably priced lunch or dinner this is your spot. It's a warm and comfortable space with great soups and salads and sandwiches and light entrees for everyday dining. And the highly regarded wine list, a consistent winner of awards from The Wine Spectator, is known for its wide range of offerings at reasonable prices.

The Dining Room--Zagat Survey says, "this Newtown New American charms critics with corn chowder, melt-in-your-mouth filet mignon and a staff that seems to love its job." The setting is fabulous. A lovely room with soft lighting, multiple level floors and ceilings and stunning artwork on the walls, this is your place for a quiet romantic dinner or a wonderful special occasion with great food and wine. The cuisine is New American style with an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients and it has drawn praise from critics and commentators throughout the region.   The wine list is, quite simple, one of the best in Connecticut and is known for its reasonable prices.

Proud Mary's--One of our customers recently called this the "coolest place to take your honey in 25 miles." Proud Mary's is open Friday and Saturday nights and features a light dining menu, great drinks and wines and cool entertainment in a warm, romantic setting. It's a great place to meet friends for a drink before dinner or to have a light supper or to finish a special evening with your favorite person. It was originally conceived as a gathering place for young married couples out for an evening without the kids. It is also a great place for smallish private parties with exceptional food and wine and cocktails.
